ABOUT US:
Being in business in a small town for this long has resulted in a solid reputation in the used car industry. They are able to listen to customers wants and needs and help satisfy them.

Leslie Baxter says the car market has become more competitive with time. Carnaby Cars maintains it's market share thanks to old fashioned honesty, reliability and Southland ethics.

With the introduction of cheaper, more reliable cars direct from Japan our business has grown, giving us the opportunity to expand into panel beating and painting. There also grew the need for more staff to prepare, groom and sell the vehicles.

Carnaby Cars first started business in 1977 and our stability in the motor trade gives customers the confidence that we will be here in the future to help them with their motoring needs and any warranty problems they may have now or in the future.

Having excellent, reliable and well trained staff helps with the long-term presence of Gore's oldest secondhand-only car dealer. With increased business share in the last few years Carnaby Cars made the decision to expand from it's original Irwell Street site to the Main Street formerly Gore's railway station site. It is from here that Leslie Baxter and Rhys Maslin handle the sales.

All vehicles sold must meet a statutory MVDI warranty period but we are able to extend these through Motor Trade Finances for up to 36 months for both petrol & diesel vehicles.

We are also able to offer 'On the spot' finance packages at competitive rates and flexible payment options, and because you are dealing with a direct importer quality and price are not compromised.
